Barry Leese joined the team in 2004 and currently holds the position of Executive Director for the Chesapeake Search and Rescue Dogs Association. He is a retired Maryland State Police Commander who managed the daily operations of the Technical Investigation Division. Barry was previously responsible for the Maryland Center for Missing Children, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Maryland Amber Alert Plan, ESF 9 – Urban Search and Rescue, Electronic Surveillance Unit, Computer Crimes Unit, Computer Crimes Forensic Laboratory, and was the Officer-In-Charge of the Counterterrorism Command Center. Barry established a group of highly trained investigators who possessed the necessary resources to respond to any report of a missing child whether it was being investigated by the Maryland State Police or an allied agency. Barry holds a General Class Amateur Radio license.
