Jeff Leitch, Moscow, and Kali

Jeff

Jeff Leitch joined Chesapeake Search Dogs in 2009 and became an Operational Flanker in 2010. In 2011 he became an Operational K-9 Handler with his partner, Moscow. He and his wife live in York county, Pennsylvania with their daughter and dogs. He works as a scientist for Becton Dickenson in Sparks, Maryland.

Moscow is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever who joined Chesapeake Search Dogs in 2009 at three months old. He became an Operational Air Scent K-9 in 2011. Moscow’s favorite toy is the Kong Wubba. When not searching, Moscow enjoys his morning and afternoon naps in the sun and playing fetch in the yard or nearby lake.

Kali is a Black Labrador Retriever who joined Chesapeake Search Dogs in 2010 when she was 8 weeks old. Kali certified as an Air Scent K-9 with her previous handler in 2012 and re-certified with Jeff in 2015.  She has been on numerous deployments and specializes in covering large areas in record time.  Outside of SAR work, Kali enjoys hiking with her buddy Moscow, large bodies of water, and frosty paws.
